As a designer and nearly licensed architect, I can't help but fixate on architecture. Architects seem to have a unique way of absorbing information; an obsession with capturing and cataloging their worlds. This seems especially apparent in my photography.

I was fortunate enough to have been awarded the SOM Prize in 2007. I received the prestigious research grant that goes along with the Prize and have traveled to every corner of United States documenting architecture of the American Modern Movement. A great deal of my architectural photography comes from these trips. You can find out more about my research for the SOM Foundation here.
Birds and Architecture
It has occured to me that birds seem to like important architecture as much as I do.
Details and Architecture
I find inspiration in the materials, their careful compostition, and the details that define American Modernism.
